banks of tigris

-banks of tigris-

the grass is greener on the other side,
accompanied by waters of life,
as the dawn approaches from the far side,
seeing green is a nother strive,

For it has been tainted red,
from the veins of the nation,
sleeping forever on their motherland,
since now it's no better than a wasteland,

A bloody bullet wanders around,
pursuing souls of innocents,
Demeaning the purpose of living,
where visions are painted red,

From the views of adolescents,
who merely knew the meaning of life,
watching their peers go one by one,
into graves six feet under their feets,

Added by anguish of their kins,
Who, also left marching sadly,
into the realms of barzakh,
without the joyness of existence,

In the name of democracy and justice,
a tyrant rolls down,
from the summit to harsh grounds,
only to be trapped, like a mouse in a lab,

For sins he can't atone,
of his chemical romance to the kurds,
and the bloody trail following him,
only breathing his last,at the edge of a rope,

Where euphoria fills his detesters,
upon being a qurban on a holy day,
by the followers of Ali, and the kurds,
jolting happily, with insidious remarks,

As he lays under,
devilish smiles arose,
from the pretzel choked freak,
and his band of poodles,

For peace is their oath,
yeah right everyone knows,
the black gold is the reason,
fulfilling their gluttony of unlimited wealth,

As the steel birds flew, its droppings of doom illuminates,
the city of baghdad, once the epitome of civilisation,
showing the true colours,
of the pretzel choked freak

While faint gunshot looms,
from every corner of the city,
retaliating every means of the paleskins,
forcing them into bodybags,
only as a souvenir for their families,
who too despise the pretzel choker,
wishing he burns in hell,
choked by his own greed,

As the sun sets,
a body lays stiffly,
gazing a lifeless stare,
into the blood dyed waters,
on the banks of tigris,
only to be anguished,
by a bleak future,
their children hold.....
